Proud employee, Ashley Rehkemper talks about her years serving PVPUSD.

I'm Ashley Rae Kemper and I'm a fifth grade teacher at zoppo grey Elementary School this is my seventh year working in PvP USD I am in an early riser I like to get to school a little bit before 7 a.m. that is just kind of my time to prep things look over on my small group rotations layout the schedule for the day um I teach all subjects here at Apple grey so um preparing for my math and reading lessons writing science and social studies um and I love that I get to spend the whole day with all of my Learners and then um at after school is usually when I'm gathering some things grading some of the things using that to inform my instruction for the next day um and making sure everything is laid out and ready to go so that I can start again the following day last year um the dapple grey PTA sponsored me as being being able to attend Capital Convoy with our high schoolers um up in Sacramento and what was really fun about that is that my um AP US History teacher Tessa Barton was also a chaperon as well so it was great to be able to connect and see the impact that she's still having on students almost 20 years later from when I had her in high school um and being able to be up there together now as colleagues was a really fun and unique experience and I think that just really does speak to the community here at PVP USD what makes me most proud to be a part of pvpusd is the fact that this is um my hometown District so I got to come back to where I graduated from and be contributing to the students in the ways that I felt like I had great experience as as a student and now I get to do that on the other side as a teacher and just being able to have my students come back over the years and visit and share their successes and the things that they're excited about is just something that makes me really proud
