Proud employee, Cheryl Michaels talks about her years serving PVPUSD.

my name is Cheryl Michaels and I'm a speech language pathologist here with the palace already School District this is my 25th year and I've always worked here at the preschool you start seeing kids as early as a 30 in the morning many of our students come in small groups we have them in small groups some kids are coming individual and although we have our VA preschool here on campus some of the students do go to school here and then I pulled them out of their classrooms while other kids um go to different preschools in the area so their parents bring them and pick them up we are this is going on from 8:30 to 12:00 typically we have a few groups that come in the afternoon and otherwise I'm very busy with initial assessments if I you know evaluations IEP meetings observations and that keeps me very busy I have lived here I've raised 3 all 3 of my children here kindergarten through high school and so not not only do I feel like I have contributed as a parent and supporting the district in that way for many years but I'm also happy that I'm contributing as an educator I'm proud to be part of a district that holds such high standards for their staff and their students I've seen firsthand how my own children have gone through and are so prepared and ready for college and for the life beyond pvpusd and proud that I can contribute again as as a preschool educator to the students who are just starting off their Journey here um in the district and I and I'm happy to support them and help them on their on their way
