Rancho Del Mar High School, has immersed students in TLC...the Tilly's Life Center. Once a week, students come together to discuss the challenges they face and to build a strong support network designed to help them succeed in school and beyond.

but talks about how to time when vintage is in you can call this classroom a real throwback there are no iPads no Chromebooks no projectors here is the written word it's okay to be nice to people but I think sometimes we assume that people have our best interest and they really don't being friendly or because you and open discussion in fact you probably can't call this a classroom it sightseeing in his classmates call this a therapy session you can just talk about your problems and with teacher and it is gives you like demotivation like not to bully anybody not to like you actually see what people see what people were actually like from before Rancho del Mar High School a continuation school in Los Angeles has a mercy students and TLC Tilly's Life Center every Wednesday side and a group of students gather to discuss the problems they face and how to make positive change in their lives. Like really nice in here this really positive energy just all positive energy I've seen that maturation in our kids going from from being a participant to now leading and collaborating with each other the driving force behind TLC is till Avene the co-founder of Tilly's clothing store she spent years working with students and noticed a trend the positive mindset and self-esteem students needed didn't exist especially when they went back to their own respective living situation she wanted to change that unique and Wally and and let go of all the negative feeling better and gear and basically replace it with love and confidence tightness and motivation the class facilitator is Pat Lavallee who spends hundreds of hours creating a safe and loving environment Wade peas and many other students learn that they truly do matter in society I can express their feelings in a safe environment realize that while I'm not the only one that feels this way and very empowering to them and it allows them to open up and go a little deeper by the time we get through all the phases which is Graves alright live through the TLC Laval I have seen an incredible amount of growth inside he has been closed off I think I'm very I think it was just cuz he was afraid and didn't understand things that were different but I've definitely seen him being more relaxed and being more open to what other people are who they are where they come from but they believe will be looks of the TLC program as a method for creating sustainable change I will future and it's supposed to bility to give the right tools to make the right choices and and to make this place a better place and better leadership better relationship better family picture site says the program is. we changed the way he looks at other people and life in general after this class I'll be looking forward to like actually talking to people see what their problem is and 10 more life you know
