Welcome to PV Kids’ Corner! We believe the school-age years are important in the life of a child and that quality childcare provides opportunities to meet social, emotional, physical and cognitive needs when parents are not available. For safety and convenience, PV Kids’ Corner has centers located on most elementary school campuses.
Children choose from a variety of instructional and recreational activities designed to be appropriate for their age and maturity levels. Both indoor and outdoor activities are provided, with time for active play as well as time to relax, read and do homework. Quiet homework time is set aside each day, and computers with supervised Internet access are also available.
Parents are welcome to visit each center during the hours of operation and have an opportunity to meet the Center Supervisor and staff.
PV Kids’ Corner is a PVPUSD fee-based program that is intended to be self-supporting. Children must be enrolled in TK or Kindergarten through fifth grade, at the same school as the PV Kids’ Corner center at which they are registered.
All children must be registered at least 48 hours, excluding weekends/holidays, prior to attendance for monthly or emergency drop-in care. Different enrollment options are offered for full-time and part-time, each with its own fee rate. Emergency drop-in days are offered as space and staffing permit with 24-48 hours notice and prior approval.
Optional Full Day Camps are available during School Break periods for an additional weekly fee. These programs require separate registration forms, payments and are available as space permits. PV Kids’ Corner centers will be combined for these programs with the exact locations announced at least one month in advance.
