Welcome to PV Kids’ Corner! We believe the school-age years are important in the life of a child and that quality childcare provides opportunities to meet social, emotional, physical and cognitive needs when parents are not available. For safety and convenience, PV Kids’ Corner has centers located on each elementary school campus.

During this time we want to assure parents that the health and safety of your child is our top priority! PV Kids' Corner has implemented many protocols and policies to ensure the safety of our program participants and our staff. Please review the Parent Handbook for all policies and procedures.

Children choose from a variety of instructional and recreational activities designed to be appropriate for their age and maturity levels. Both indoor and outdoor activities are provided, with time for active play as well as time to relax, read and do school work.

Quiet time is set aside each day for school work. School technology resources with supervised Internet access are available for students. Staff will encourage students to do their school work and will be available to answer questions. Parents are encouraged to review their child's work daily as the group setting does not allow for extended one-on-one assistance.

PROGRAM OPERATIONS

  • Before School Option from 7:00am to 8:30am
  • 3:30 Care Option from School Dismissal to 3:30pm
  • 6:30 Care Option from School Dismissal to 6:30pm
  • Full Day Camps during School Breaks and Summer from 7:00am to 6:30pm
  • Drop-In Care is not currently available due to staffing issues.
Please contact the PV Kids' Corner center directly to report an absence or if you have any special instructions for your child. All centers are available by calling the school phone number and selecting the option for Kids' Corner.
 
 

ENROLLMENT

PV Kids’ Corner is a PVPUSD fee-based program that is intended to be self-supporting. Children must be enrolled in TK or Kindergarten through fifth grade in the PVPUSD. Space is limited!

The registration process may take up to ten (10) business days, whether enrolling for a scheduled option or for placement on a waiting list, and enrollment is subject to availability. Refer to the most current Fee Schedule for enrollment options and fees.

Once your child is enrolled in the PV Kids' Corner Program for the current school year and you wish to add/change/cancel their scheduled enrollment for the current school year, please complete the Schedule Change/Cancellation Request Form available from the PDF listing below. Once completed, submit the form to the business office by email for processing. Due to potential waiting lists, requests may not be possible. Please refer to the Parent Handbook for full schedule change/cancellation policy details.

 

REGISTRATION

All registration windows will open at 5PM on the first available day of registration for each school(s).

 
April 14 – April 18  -- registration for ELOP families
(Must apply for new eligibility letter on July 1st when re-application opens for the new school year)
 
April 28 – May 2 -- Cornerstone & Lunada Bay
 
May 12 – May 16 -- Dapplegray
 
May 26 – May 30 -- Mira Catalina & Montemalaga
 
June 9 – June 13 -- Point Vicente & Rancho Vista
 
June 23 – June 27 -- Silver Spur
 
July 7 – July 11 -- Soleado
 
July 21 – July 25 -- Vista Grande

 

Families will be sent an email with instructions before the registration period begins for each school. Please mark your calendars with the dates provided so you may plan accordingly to submit your registration request for your child(ren). 

 

Please be advised, just as in years past, space is limited and registration requests will be processed in order received.  Parents will receive confirmation letters of enrollment or notifications of waitlist five to ten business days following the end date of the registration window for each school.

 

Registrations received before designated dates will be discarded and families will be notified they will need to resubmit at the proper time.  Registrations received after their designated school registration period will be processed at a later date and families will be notified if the requested schedule can be accommodated, even partially, or if the request has been placed on the waitlist.

Please take your time following the Registration Instructions applicable to your family. Read through all materials available prior to initiating the registration process to avoid potential errors, difficulties or unwanted cancellation fees.

 

 

CURRENT FAMILIES (please see above schedule for registration dates)

Families that have had a child attend the previous school year or summer session are considered a CURRENT FAMILY. Current Families have an active PV Kids' Corner Connect Parent Portal Account (not the Aeries Parent Portal).

NEW FAMILIES (please see above schedule for registration dates)

Families entering the district for the 25/26 school year and have never had a child attend a school year or summer session are considered a NEW FAMILY. Please review the New Family Registrations Instruction and Video.  Then click the Online Registration Link below for submit your Registration Request for the 25/26 School Year.

ELO-P FAMILIES (25/26 Registration opens 4/14 @ 5PM)

If qualified and applying for Expanded Learning Opportunity Program (ELO-P) enrollment, parents must use the separate ELO-P Registration Instructions and Form Link below, regardless of previous PV Kids' Corner enrollment or if a new family. 

 

Families MUST provide a 2024-2025 Eligibility Letter (if submitting a Kids' Corner Registration Request before July 1, 2025) from the Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District's Food Services Department or the Ed Services Department WITH their ELO-P Application. No other documentation will be accepted!

Families must apply for new eligibility letter on or after July 1, 2025 when re-application opens for the new school year

**Do NOT submit your ELO-P Application without the Eligibility Letter!**

**PV Kids' Corner does not determine eligibility for enrollment into the ELO-P!!**

 

 
 
 

CONNECT PARENT PORTAL  (Not the Aeries Parent Portal)

The Connect Parent Portal will allow parents to access their family's financial information, print invoices and statements, print year-end tax information, and review their child's scheduled program enrollment with scheduled participation effective and end dates. (The Connect Parent Portal does not contain information prior to the 2022-2023 school year.)
 
Parents must create their Connect Parent Portal account during the online registration process. This account will be activated only after your online registration has been approved, the payment has been processed and your child is enrolled if space is available, which may take up to 10 business days. ADDITIONAL FORMS AND INFORMATION

 

AUTOPAY PAYMENT OPTIONS

Our AutoPay Payment Program is required for all payments and allows you to choose your payment option for this free program. MasterCard, Visa, and Discover Card are accepted for this free and convenient program.

 

FULL DAY CARE PROGRAMS

Optional Full Day Care Programs may be offered on non-school days and during School Break periods for an additional fee to children enrolled in the PV Kids' Corner Program for the current school year. These programs require separate registration forms, AutoPay payments and are available as space permits. PV Kids’ Corner centers will be combined for these programs with the exact locations announced at least one month in advance.
