Our preschools have been carefully planned to provide quality preschool education for students in the Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District.
Mommy and Me classes are offered and we encourage parents to come and have fun with their children. In the Mommy and Me classes, parents make new friends while gaining positive attitudes toward parenting through participation, child observation and discussion.
Our toddler program offers two year olds an opportunity to explore through their own natural curiosity while addressing their social emotional development, cooperative play, language development, and motor development. These are the foundations for learning and a successful educational experience.
We take pride in offering three year olds a “hands-on” learning experience. Children are encouraged to explore and learn from exciting opportunities in the student directed and adult directed environment. Children develop important requisite skills for literacy, math, print awareness, and story comprehension.
The four year old classrooms focus on the skills necessary for kindergarten readiness. We teach letter recognition, phonemic awareness, pre-writing skills, reading comprehension, number recognition, sorting, categorizing, and sequencing. Children participate in science and cooking experiences, and they also learn self-help skills and conflict resolution.
All classrooms are organized by developmentally appropriate centers. Our staff is very knowledgeable in early childhood education and they participate annually in professional development opportunities and trainings to enhance and keep current in the field of early childhood education.
