Overview
California Senate Bill 553 (SB 553) was signed into law on September 30, 2023. It requires employers to protect their employees by establishing, implementing, and maintaining an effective Workplace Violence Prevention Plan at all times in all work areas no later than July 1, 2024.

At Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District (PVPUSD), we are committed to ensuring a safe and secure work environment for all our employees. Our PVPUSD Workplace Violence Prevention Plan is in compliance with California SB 553 and provides access to essential forms related to workplace violence prevention and reporting.
