Proud employee Pete Lyons talks about his years serving PVPUSD.

how long have you worked for pvpusd since I graduated Palos Verdes high in June of 88 so 36 ish something years in your life as a senior account clerk certificated payroll I have a great office at a very unique site with key coworkers I follow a fair amount of deadlines throughout the month that kind of dictate what I'm doing also get a fair amount of emails and calls from certificated staff taxes Paychex retirement all those time thanks so I work around that today I'm working on mileage vouchers refunds for mileage fences so the highlights the sense of community within the district I thought about that obviously a lot over the years but for decade I booked all the facilities for after-hours use and I needed a lot of help from the staff and teachers at the site to free up their classroom who's there Jim's multi-purpose room drama departments and so I really got to work with a lot of sites in people and along with all of these sports president ptas all of the volunteers that go into just creating the after-hours opportunities and I thought that was amazing to see that side above and beyond the education day and what makes you most proud to be a part of the PVP or St I was a student here K through 12 I've now been here all these years I see what the district means to the residents especially the ones with the families for a variety of reasons but I think they may look back see that the schools were the most important part of the experience and being here all these years doing my part to keep the employees who rely on me being able to focus on I do best it's something I'm proud of and proud to work for the district
