2019-20 AND 2020-21 SCHOOL YEAR CALENDARS

District and Palos Verdes Faculty Association Announce Tentative Agreement

PALOS VERDES ESTATES (March 14, 2019) The Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District (PVPUSD) and the Palos Verdes Faculty Association (PVFA) are pleased to announce a tentative agreement for school and work year calendars for the 2019-2020 and 2020-21 school years. "This is a win for our community and I am grateful that we mutually agreed to a multi-year calendar", stated Superintendent Dr. Alex Cherniss.

The tentative agreement is part of ongoing contract negotiations between PVPUSD and PVFA.

Significant dates:

2019-20 School Year

• First day of school: August 28, 2019
• Holiday: October 9, 2019
• Thanksgiving Break: November 25 – 29, 2019
• Winter Break: December 23, 2019 – January 3, 2020
• Spring Break: March 30 – April 3, 2020
• Last day of school: June 11, 2020

2020-21 School Year

• First day of school: August 26, 2020
• Holiday: September 28, 2020
• Thanksgiving Break: November 23 – 27, 2020
• Winter Break: December 21, 2020 – January 1, 2021
• Spring Break: March 29 – April 2, 2021
• Last day of school: June 10, 2021
