School Closure Extension

Dear PVPUSD Families,

As you may be aware, yesterday President Trump extended the social distancing guidelines through April 30, 2020.  Based on this new guidance and based on the Los Angeles County Office of Education’s recommendation for districts to remain closed through May 5, 2020, PVPUSD will extend its school site closure through April 30, 2020.  Moving forward, the District will continue to reevaluate this situation and any new developments that may impact efforts to reopen our schools.

Thank you for your support during this difficult time.  We understand the hardships that this unprecedented crisis has created for all of you.  It has been truly inspiring to see us come together as a community and to support our students.  The countless teachers who have gone above and beyond to engage with our students has been truly remarkable.  We are thankful to all of our educators and support staff who have been putting kids first and we are thankful to all of our families for doing the best they can to educate their children during this difficult time.  Together we will get through this

Respectfully,
