Student Board Members Ella Nenadic and Brandon Lin share their PVPUSD pride.

hi my name is Ella Nenadic and I'm student board member at Palos Verdes High School. uh I'm Brandon Lin I'm the student board member for Peninsula. The role of the student board member is to give the student perspective to the district in order to help make these policies uh essentially uh a student board member is the representative go to their school at the school board I mean that entails a couple things you have to report on the activities and show what your school's been doing to both the board and any members of the public who might be there or watching the meeting. I think the more important part though is that you kind of serve as a student voice; you give student input and represent the kids of your school when policies are being formulated. Often the board will ask for input from us and I think that's probably a very important thing and I'm glad they do so because it ensures that the policies that are being that are being created are targeted towards uh the interests of students and in favor of them the word fantastic I've been in the district since second grade and 10 second grade I've kind of loved how Peninsula is able to simultaneously uh place an emphasis on academic Excellence uh we'll still retaining a focus on like happiness having fun and you know relaxing I think a lot of the time it's easy for students to forget um that high school is supposed to be fun it's not supposed to be just a Non-Stop grind it's at the best raised at the best scores and everything right you have to have some time for yourself to discover who you are as a person right and I think Peninsula uh and the district as a whole with its on out of school activities on student-run things like clubs um you know other non-academic activities and the wide offering of all types of competitive uh you know Athletics things like that um definitely serve that purpose I I I love Peninsula I like the district my experience has been nothing but positive and PVP USD the faculty and staff has been absolutely amazing and helps create new opportunities for us every day I'm so grateful for our amazing staff that works so hard to give us the best education possible been shout out to all the staff and students across the district especially the ones at Peninsula go Panthers
