hi my name is Sue Alan Walker and I am office manager of Mira Catalina Elementary School in the Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District I have an office manager here for 20 years with two years prior to that as the intermediate typist at Lunada Bay Elementary that I was originally introduced in 1998 as a mother of four so I have been at meerkat Lena for some time each day I arrived in the morning and I get ready for any substitutes I'm expecting a glance through my emails for anything pressing urgent and listen to phone messages and from that point on everyday is just a little bit different and very atypical that the office manager's job is to support Administration staff students and families so pretty much anything that comes in the door from that point on this what needs to be dealt with at the time so no two days have been similar since I have started in 20 years at wouldn't change it for the world with all that has occurred here at Mira Catalina in 20 years I have to say one of my memorable moments is when we as a staff put together our 50th year celebration in 2014 and were pleasantly surprised at how many people were still in the community generations of families that had attended mirror Catalina I believe we are able to reach almost every pass principle which was very rewarding and and many of them actually attended our event so it was nice and it just really reinforced the fact that schools are a home away from home and we play an important role in all the students lives and that is really something that I cherish my job is office manager has been so fulfilling and I know that this is been the perfect job for me I wouldn't trade it for the world thank you so much for this nomination and truly has been an honor to serve on Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District thanks
