PVHS Principal Dr. Trista Ramirez recounts her 25 years serving PVPUSD

I started working in Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District in 1990 I started as an intermediate school counselor at Palos Verdes Intermediate school and then continued to work as a high school counselor at Palos Verdes High School via associate principal Palos Verdes High School Iowa's the principle of what is intermediate school coordinator of student mental health and now I am currently the principal of Palos Verdes High School a typical day in the life of a principal I would say is different every day which is part of what I really love about it and some days are spent doing really fun and exciting things with students and being out amongst the school Community games are activities pep rallies some days are spent in classrooms being able to watch our teachers and their instruction and see students engaging in academic Endeavors and some days are spent solving problems I think as a high school principal every day something new and that's what's exciting about it after 25 years in pbpost I think there are a lot of memorable moments that I can choose fantastic. weigh stations and exciting opportunities for students and seeing them succeed full of in and out of the classroom but I think for me most recently the experience that really highlights our community here at Palos Verdes High Ball but also the overall community of pvpusd is our first night game here at Palos Verdes high school last year it was really an awesome opportunity not only for our own kids up for our 11 a.m. for the whole Community to come together and have this amazing moment that was the first time in the history of the school and just being able to have experiences like that that you know where a first for everybody and just watching everybody come together and seeing the kids so sighted and the football team just doing amazing things under the lights it was a just a really memorable moment for all of our community and for me as a principal I think for me that thing that makes me most proud of being part of pvpusd is just the sense of family that I have not only with my PV High seeking family but also with all of the teachers and other administrators that I have had the opportunity to work alongside over the last 20 years families and colleagues that I not only call my friends but also our part that larger pvpusd family where we come together to support each other for a common cause of making sure that our kids have the best education possible
