Research Projects

PVPUSD recognizes the value of high-quality research for improving education. Research conducted in PVPUSD must be justified in terms of the anticipated benefit to the District. Research in the following areas is encouraged:

  • Improving educational outcomes across all subgroups of students
  • Improving the design and delivery of services that promote learning
  • Improving the management of the school environment
  • Improving parent involvement in education

PVPUSD Board Policy and Administrative Regulation 6162.8 mandates that all research (including surveys) involving students, parents, or district personnel must have prior approval. Make certain your proposal is complete and that all requested information is provided. Incomplete proposals will delay the approval process. You will be notified when the review process is complete.

The review process typically takes 3-4 weeks. However, review time may vary depending on availability of staff. It is your responsibility to submit your proposal within our review timeline in order to meet your academic deadlines.
