We know enrolling a child in school can be overwhelming, so we have broken down everything you need to know on this webpage.

Enrollment Timeline

Key Dates:
- February 2, 2026: Enrollment opens at 9:00 a.m. for all residents turning five years old on or before September 1, 2027. Check our birthdate/enrollment matrix for more information.
- March 1-31, 2026: The Cornerstone and Dual Immersion applications will be available starting March 1 and ending March 31.
- April 1, 2026: The interdistrict (out of district) permit application window opens. The window will be open through June 1, 2026 at 4:00 p.m.
- May 4, 2026: Elementary school placement is confirmed. Following elementary placement, each school will schedule meet and greet days for new students and families.
- May 15, 2026: Elementary intradistrict transfer window opens to request a specific school.
- Mid-August 2026: First day of school for the 2026-27 school year!
2-Step Enrollment Process
STEP ONE: Enroll online at pvpusd.net/enrollment to establish your place in our “Virtual Line.” During February, the district will honor the sequence of the “Virtual Line” if step two is completed by February 29.
STEP TWO: Submit the required documents in-person. After February, the sequence will be determined by the date of completion of step two.
The following documents are required:
- Original Birth Certificate
- Immunization Records (to date)
- Parent/Guardian Photo ID
- Residency Verification
- Gas and Electric Bills or Verification Letters

Office hours are available to the public Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Appointments available; walk-ins welcome.
The Enrollment Center will be closed on all federal holidays and the week of PVPUSD Spring Break (April 6-10, 2026).
